We are Boy Scouts of America Troop 842 in Coppell, Texas, chartered by the First United Methodist Church in Coppell.

We meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm at 420 South Heartz Road in Coppell.  You are welcome to visit and learn more about us.

October 6th Troop Meeting and Parent Meeting

Activity: Patrol Flags

Parents: There is a Parent Meeting in the Rotunda during the meeting.  Please note that recharter packets will be distributed.

Stealth and Dragon Patrols on Setup, flag and cleanup duty (arrive by 6:45pm to set up and get the flags ready; don't leave until everything is packed away).

It's that time of year again! 

Candace Ifflander is putting together Troop 842 Recharter Packets for each scout/family.  Plan on attending the Tuesday, October 6th Parent Meeting to pick yours up.  If you cannot make it to the meeting, be sure to find her at the next weekly meeting to pick-up it up. 

The deadline to submit your packet is at the November 10th Court of Honor.  Any packets submitted after that date will incur a $30 late fee. 

All families that have returned a complete recharter packet by the Tuesday October 27th Troop Meeting will have a chance to win $$$ towards their scout’s Summer Camp!  Last year’s winner won over $350 so don’t wait.

Aggie Eagle Program

The Aggie Eagle Program (AEP) offers high school juniors and seniors and transfer students who are Eagle Scouts, Girl Scout Gold Award, or Stars and Stripes Award recipients a first-hand experience with the Corps of Cadets. Traditionally, the Corps has over 300 members who hold the BSA Eagle Scout rank or the GSUSA Gold Award. AEP recognizes the same traits that motivate a youngster to join scouts also encourage them, as collegians, to join the Corps. While at AEP, students will:

Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training at First United Methodist Church of Allen

October 3, 2015

For Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters, this is the classroom portion of basic position training. Taking Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) will complete position training for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters. Dress is field uniform (Class A). Please bring note-taking materials, and if you have them, a Boy Scout handbook and a Scoutmaster handbook
