Welcome to Troop 842!!

We are Boy Scouts of America Troop 842 in Coppell, Texas, chartered by the First United Methodist Church in Coppell.

We meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm at 420 South Heartz Road in Coppell.  You are welcome to visit and learn more about us.

July 22nd Troop Meeting

Troop Meeting 7-8pm

Activity: Dutch Oven Cooking Talk with Mr. Pye

Dragon Patrol on Setup, flag and cleanup duty (arrive by 6:45pm to set up and get the flags ready; don't leave until everything is packed away).

Class B for the Summer.  Scouts can wear Class B uniform to meetings during the summer.  This includes Troop 842 t-shirt (preferred) or other scouting shirt, BSA shorts and closed-toe shoes.  Class A uniform will still be required for Scoutmaster Conferences and Boards of Review.

Scouts in Leadership Positions: If you have not yet completed the mid-term review, it is now REALLY LATE.  See below.

Service Hours Opportunity - Car Wash Saturday July 26th

Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge Class

The Citizenship in the Nation merit badge is being offered here in Coppell for Troop 842!  The class size is limited to the first 10 scouts that register.

Scouts, if you hold a leadership position in the troop, it is time for the mid-term review.

This is an opportunity for you to review your progress in your position, to work out whether you understand the requirements of the position, and are fulfilling it to the best of your ability.

Sports and/ or Athletics MB

For those scouts who have been working through either the Sports or Athletics merit badge requirements this spring,  Dan Thompson will be available to meet with you to review your progress and sign off on completed work.
