We are Boy Scouts of America Troop 842 in Coppell, Texas, chartered by the First United Methodist Church in Coppell.

We meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm at 420 South Heartz Road in Coppell.  You are welcome to visit and learn more about us.

Service Project - Texas Presbyterian Hospital Dallas

Service Project:  This fall, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas will open a new comprehensive cancer center for patients and families impacted by cancer.  The cancer center will feature an outdoor area to offer a serene and safe environment for patients.   This service activity entails carrying limbs, trash and rocks to a designated for further processing and disposal.  Some trimming of small branches may be necessary.  Tools, protective eyewear, gloves and pullover boots will be made available to the volunteers by the hospital.

Arrow Patrol on Setup, flag and cleanup duty (arrive by 6:45pm to set up and get the flags ready; don't leave until everything is packed away).

Face to Face YPT

The Boy Scouts of America places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our youth members. To maintain such an environment, the Circle Ten Council will be conducting Youth Protection Training at the following times. In the state of Texas, in-person Youth Protection training is required for Day Camp/Twilight Camp, Webelos Resident Camp, Boy Scout Resident Camp, Winter Camp, and NYLT, and all camps wtihin the state of Texas.

BSA Lifeguard and Red Cross Lifeguarding Course

A local BSA Venturing Crew is offering a course for BSA Lifeguard, Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid at Camp Wisdom from May 30 through June 1
